Deproteinizing Reagent
A deproteinizing reagent is a concentrate which is intended for the preparation of a deproteinizing solution used to determine glucose in whole blood by the glucose oxidase method. A deproteinizing solution prepared from a deproteinizing concentrate precipitates proteins and cells from whole blood, which are then removed by centrifugation. Glucose is determined enzymatically using the Glucose-GOD-DiAKiT kit in a clear supernatant.
